I have previously wrote about the excellent Hotel Savoy in Fenals next to Lloret de Mar. In my opinion this hotel is in one of the best locations around. The beach is only 2 mins walk away and is much quieter than the busy beach in Lloret, but if you want to have a trip over into Lloret itself and you cant be bothered to walk then there is a single decker bus that stops just across the road from the Savoy.
In Fenals you will find excellent restaurants near by such as the International just on the corner opposite the beach and just on the corner of the next street is the Xaloc, both are equally as good!

The Cheapest Hotels in Lloret de Mar
So much is in the news back in the UK about holidays abroad this year, saying that because of the rising cost of living and also the exchange rate people are shunning the Costa's and staying at home. This need not have to be the case, it is still quite possible to find a very cheap hotel here in Lloret, but this does not mean you have to stay in a dump!
I know of 2 good clean small hotels in town, and have heard good reports from friends and relatives who have stayed there.
Although not having a pool, these hotels I've heard are ''spotlessly clean'' and have very friendly staff. The first one is the Caleta which is only 3-4 minutes walk to the beach. Prices etc can be found HERE
The second one is Santa Ana, a little towards the back of town (about 10 mins walk to the beach) but still with very good reviews for cleanliness and price - although I cant find a website for the Santa Ana you can read more on the Alpha Rooms site HERE

A Guide To Lloret de Mar.
Finding your way around Lloret de Mar can be quite difficult if its your first visit. The first impression many people get when they arrive is one of a town filled with bars, clubs and souvenir shops which seem to sell exactly the same things whichever one you go in!
They see a long beach with a castle at one end and a statue at the other!
This may be just the kind of holiday you want, but if not, what can you do about it?
To see more of what Lloret de mar has to offer don't be frightened to take a walk though the old streets at the back of town. Here you will find a maze of old dwellings in pretty narrow streets, this is where the locals live.
If you do find you are losing your way, a good rule is to always make your way back down hill, sooner or later you will end up back at the sea front!
On the seafront are the local bus stops, the fares are very cheap. You can catch a small yellow bus to one of the nicest beaches you will ever see - Cala Canyelles. The larger bus No-L2 is a circular route between Lloret and Fenals. With this bus you have no danger of getting lost.
Where ever you get off the bus you can get back on to return to the start of your journey.
Fenals is a quieter area of Lloret with a beach which has been voted the best from the French border down to Tarragona.

Lloret de Mar Camping
A nice change from the hotel or apartment holiday could be a camping holiday. Also a much cheaper option for the main holiday season when prices are always sky high!
In Lloret de Mar there are 3 campsites, all with excellent amenities and they are close to the centre, making it handy for all the shops and nightlife etc. Accommodation consists of chalet style bungalows, mobile homes or large tents. Space can also be rented on which to park your own mobile home etc.
All the campsites have their own supermarkets, bars, restaurants, showers, toilets and swimming pools.
The nearest two sites to Lloret centre are Tucan and Santa Elena Cuitat which are on the main road as you approach from Blanes.
